Welcome to kanyathon

Love, hope, and compassion drive Kanyathon. The student-driven annual charity event Kanyathon, an initiative started in 2011 by the esteemed IFIM institutions and JAGSOM and is back with its 13th edition in March 2024 and this is the 3rd edition of Kanyathon at Vijaybhoomi University. Kanyathon has impacted the lives of over 3,00,000 girls in education, health, nutrition, and safety. To ensure that these girls are living healthier lives, health camps, awareness campaigns and skill-based initiatives are undertaken in our adopted villages. Kanyathon Shiksha Kendra, a digital center is providing skill-based education to more than 100 girls. The social impact of Kanyathon has been recognized globally which translated to the ‘prestigious Innovations that Inspire’ Award from AACSB in 2021. With its physical run, virtual run, e-gaming, and the second edition of Walkathon, Kanyathon 2025 is back. With 7000 runners in 2020 and donations of Rs. 4,80,000 lakhs till last year, we hope to touch even more lives. We, as an institution have been giving back to society, especially to empower the women of the nation. The mission of Kanyathon is to empower women and girls. We plan to achieve this through our own education center called KANYATHON SHIKSHA KENDRA. Kanyathon Shiksha Kendra is a skill-building Centre established in our adopted villages to educate and empower the young generation of rural areas. Kanyathon student team has pledged to use every penny acquired from the charity run and other events for the well-being of women and girls. So, participate to help this noble cause!!

A glimpse of 2021 & 2020

Kanyathon 2021, marathon and e-gaming were held virtually across India with high levels of energy and enthusiasm. Despite the pandemic, we continued our tradition of 5k run, 10k run, 3k family run, 10k pro run, and 5k pro run virtually. We also had an association with Indian Oil Corporation, Nestle-Koko Krunch, Unibic, Kosmoderma, Klenza, Farmveda, Kauvery Hospital, and our IFIM Alumni Association. Kanyathon 2020, was a family fun-filled fiesta, and we continued our tradition of the 3K Family run where children and adults ran together. A Kanyathon T-shirt and a certificate along with a goodie bag filled with snacks, vouchers, and gifts were distributed. Dance performances, drummers, and children cheerleaders raised the spirits of the runners followed by a hearty breakfast. Fun and entertainment-filled activities were conducted at the Kids Corner. All in all, we the students aimed to make the event a day to enjoy with the entire family.
