Kanyathon is a student-led social impact initiative functioning under the governance of the Centre for Developmental Education (CDE), the parent body of Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM), IFIM College, IFIM Law College and Vijaybhoomi University. Initiated in 2011 as a charity run, Kanyathon was envisioned by students to empower the girl child and create meaningful social change. Over the years, it has grown into a professionally governed and institutionally supported social impact platform that combines student leadership with structured oversight, transparency, and accountability.
Kanyathon advances empowerment through focused programmes in Conversational & Communication Skills, Health & Hygiene Awareness, and Digital Literacy. These interventions strengthen confidence, promote well-being, and equip girls with essential knowledge and technological capabilities, enabling long-term personal growth, educational access, and improved opportunities for a more independent and empowered future.
Kanyathon student team has pledged to use every penny acquired from the charity run and other events for the well-being of women and children of this nation.
